What you'll learn

12 lessons, in the order the contract hits you.

Start with what you sold. End with one page that shows every agreement you have signed. Each card shows a taste of what is inside.

Part 1

The deal

What you sold, what it really costs, and how your payment was set.

Lesson 1 Free

What you actually sold

A taste of itA $50,000 advance at a 1.35 factor means $67,500 comes back. The factor is a multiplier, not a yearly interest rate.

Lesson 2

The numbers page and the real cost

A taste of itThe same 1.35 factor is about 126% a year if paid back in six months, and about 63% if paid back in twelve.
Lesson 3

Your payment vs. the specified percentage

A taste of itA fixed $535.71 a day is a guess at 12% of $93,750 in monthly sales. If real sales are $75,000, you are paying 15.0%.
Part 2

The money

Reconciliation, fees, early payoff, renewals and stacking.

Lesson 4

Reconciliation: the clause, how to ask, what to send

A taste of itThree months of real sales ($75,000, $70,000, $68,000) allow $25,560 at 12%, but $33,750 was debited: $8,190 above.
Lesson 5

Fees: what came out before the money landed

A taste of itOn a $50,000 advance, $1,750 in fees means $48,250 lands in your account, and the real factor is 1.40, not 1.35.
Lesson 6

Early payoff, renewals and stacking

A taste of itRenewing at the halfway point turns $14,750 of new cash into $33,750 more owed.
Part 3

The fine print

Default, the guaranty, the UCC filing and the clauses at the back of the contract.

Lesson 7

Events of default

A taste of itAfter 40 payments, $46,071.43 would be due at once if the funder accelerates.
Lesson 8

The personal guaranty

A taste of itPerformance or payment? One word in the guaranty decides whether you promise good behavior or the whole balance.
Lesson 9

The UCC-1 and the security interest

A taste of itA UCC-1 lasts five years. A funder can continue it only in the last six months; in our example, from September 3, 2030.
Lesson 10

Confession of judgment, venue, jury waiver and arbitration

A taste of itA confession of judgment signed March 3, 2026 can be filed in New York only until March 3, 2029, and only in the signer's county.
Part 4

What to do

If sales drop or you cannot pay, and your whole agreement on one page.

Lesson 11

When sales drop or you can't pay

A taste of itIn one real review, a four-week pause on six advances kept $44,725.92 in the owner's business. Results depend on each funder and agreement.
Lesson 12

Your agreement on one page

A taste of itTen questions to ask before you sign the next agreement, and a printable one-page workbook for the ones you already have.

What's inside

Built to be used with your contract open.

12 short lessons

Each one has the same six parts: plain English, where to find it in your contract, what it means in dollars, what to watch for, what to do now and a three-question check.

Numbers you can follow

Every worked example is calculated from a made-up advance called Funder A. You can redo the math with your own contract on the same lines.

Exact words to search for

Each lesson gives you the words to press Ctrl+F on, so you can find the clause in a 30-page PDF in seconds.

A printable workbook

One page per agreement, a real-sales worksheet, a reconciliation table and the ten questions to ask before you sign the next one.

Questions

Before you buy.

Is this legal advice?

No. General education, not legal advice. Your agreement's exact words control. For legal questions about your agreement, talk to a lawyer. The course shows you how to read your agreement, what to look for and what to ask. It does not tell you what your contract means for your case.

Who is it for?

Owners who have signed a merchant cash advance, or are about to, and the partner or bookkeeper who sees the payments leave the account. You do not need a legal or finance background.

How do I get it?

Email us at hello@fairmca.com, call (845) 535-1480, or tap any "Get the course" button, which opens an email to us. We send you a private link to all 12 lessons and the printable workbook. Lesson 1 is free to read right now, with no sign-up.

Can the course lower my payment?

No. It teaches you to read your agreement and to ask the right questions. It does not contact your funder, and it cannot promise any result.

Does it cover my state?

It explains the clauses in general, and it notes the state rules we know well: the New York confession of judgment rule, the New York and California financing disclosure laws, and Missouri's prepayment disclosure. Rules differ by state, and your agreement's exact words control.
